My New Middle Name

AMBROSE: I am sooooooo excited! I finally got my very own middle name! When I was adopted, Mommy said I didn't need a middle name, because it seems the only time anyone hears their middle name is when they are in trouble for doing something naughty. Since I am her sweet, perfect boy, she couldn't imagine that I would ever do anything naughty, so I didn't need a middle name. I had resigned myself to living my entire life without a middle name, but I am thrilled to tell you that Mommy has apparently had a change of heart. It seems that she has decided that middle names aren't just for when a kitty is naughty. They can be used when a kitty does something AWESOME too...like chasing his sisters or kicking litter outside the litter box onto the floor and using that as his own private litter box. Since I do a LOT of really awesome things, Mommy finally gave me a middle name that I get to hear a LOT. It is music to my ears! My new middle name is "LOUISE". Isn't it really pretty? At first I was confused because "Louise" is a girl's name, and I am a MANCAT, but Mommy said that was the first name that popped into her head when she saw my handiwork, so that's the middle name I got. Since I had to wait until I was two and a half years old to get my middle name, I am going to try really hard to do lots and lots of AWESOME things so I can make up for lost time and hear my new name a lot. "Ambrose Louise"...it's a dream come true. A NOTE FROM THE MOMMY: I know...I know...I didn't mean to give my sweet little mancat a girl's name. It just popped out of my mouth when I saw his handiwork, and it just stuck. In order to make it up to him, I would like to give him a new better middle name chosen by his blogging furriends. We are taking suggestions for Ambrose's new middle name. Please leave your name suggestions in the comments in this post. Later, we will post a poll so everyone can vote and choose Ambrose's new better middle name.

Why not "Louis"? That was it will be similar, but still male.

How about Arthur? It has a nice little ring to it!

In the interest of continuity, may we also suggest Lewis or Luiz. Of course, if you're truly looking for something that would match Ambrose, then, how about "Tristam"?

We like Lewis...but of course we are biased because our awesome guardian angel mancat Lewis was well, awesome. And he was the king of naughty too. You could pronounce it anyway you want. We called him Lewis, Loo Loo, Luigi, Lew-neytoons....and on and on and on.

The Lewis name is a good idea. We were going to suggest Awesome as Ambrose's middle name.
Ambrose Awesome. And AA for short. Our Mom is a retard when it comes to names. Lewis sounds good to us.

Ambrose Louis? Hmmm...

Maybe Lewis is better. Yes, we think it is. Our vote goes to Ambrose Lewis Awesome!

We vote for Ambrose Louis! My mom once had a dog named Olivia Louise, and since Livy Louise did lots of naughty things, "Louise" (or in the masculine form, Louis) seems a natural middle name to us! Make sure to tell Ambrose that Louis was a favorite name for French kings -- maybe his nickname can be the "Sun Kat"!

We're going to suggest Ambrose Joe. Don't know why but it sounded like a good name to call when one is not being naughty.

Ambrose Murphy jumped into my head.

Well, although we aren't crazy about Louise as a middle name for a handsome mancat, we think Ambrose Louie would do him proud.

Luiz! Definitely! It is waaay better than mine, which is apparantly Yousillygirl or Youcrazykitty.

That is funny that you got a girl's middle name, but it is pretty. hee hee
How about Bean? Ok, well I am partial to being a Bean and so is CocoBean. Some form of Louise would probably be better, like Louis.

I like your new middle name. Only a real mancat could have a name that other might think was a girlie name. Don't feel so bad that you had to wait 2 l/2 years to get one. The mom here still doesn't have one yet.
I am sorry for being so late in thanking you for stopping by for my birthday. We have been having so many blogger problems that it has slowed down my visits as the mom was ready to kill the computer, just because that was the only thing she could think of doing. I wouldn't let her. Finally the blogger monster seems to be gone for now, probably picking on another innocent one. Hope you had a fun time at my first birthday party. It was great seeing you there.

Maximillian. You'd be surprised how much better your mom will feel after she yells, "Ambrose MAXimillian _____" (insert last name). It really works!

Ambrose had a nice flow to it and can maybe bring out a mancat' feminine side. But maybe not. I kinda like Ambrose Andy.
