Grrreta's Viewer Mail - Vol. 3 - Toys

This installment of Grrreta's Viewer Mail features another letter from one of our viewers asking for advice. We appreciate any suggestions that may help answer our perplexed reader's question. Here is the question: Dear Grrreta's Readers, My mommy brought home a brand new toy for me,...but the toy really, really, really sucks. Should I play with it a little while to show my appreciation that she bought me something (even though it sucks), or should I refuse to touch it at all to get my point across? What should I do? Sincerely, Schmrrreta (not my real name)

I would refuse to play with it on principle. Do they think we will play with anything. We are nothing if not discriminating.

I agree. Refuse. There have to be some things in the house you would really like to play with. Let the other cats have this thing, and you can go play with their toys.

Ignore it!!!!!!
It's important to train your Mom to know which toys are acceptable!
Sounds like she still needs training!!!!!

Hey, I used to have one of those things when I was a kitten and I loved it! However, I don't always play with everything mom brings home. We must have discriminating tastes!

Show your mum the Back of Disrespect. See my blog this week for a fine example.

We do not play with toys we do not enjoy. But we do keep them in a pile of unused, unenjoyed toys. Sometimes, as it seems in this case, it is large enough to hold other toys we do not enjoy.

Ignore it!! In a few weeks when it is rediscovered, it may be the best toy in the world.

I would throw up on it.

Multiple times.

I would refuse to play with it, as well. Sometimes beans need to be hit upside the head with a two-by-four, and since we don't have opposable thumbs with which to accomplish this, outright refusal is the best alternative!

I wouldn't even *look at the offending toy. That gets them every time! (Or blog about the bad choice.)
