The Birds

Lately our back yard has resembled a Hitchcock film. Every evening, our trees fill with noisy crows. They are very skeery. Here's a video of them. You can hear crow sounds if your turn the volume up. We usually love birds, but we're askairt of these. There were lots more birdies earlier, but Mommy accidentally took a picture of them with the flash on, and as it turns out crows are very askeered of flash photography. A squillion of them flew away before she filmed the video. Clive Update:

In other news, Mommy took the stray black kitty, Clive, to the vet to scan for a microchip and get a check-up and vaccinations. He did not have a microchip, but he had already had a hoo-ha-ectomy. He is healthy except that he is very skinny, had fleas, and has a bald spot on his back where the fur has been rubbed off. He's now de-flea-ified, eating like a little piglet, and hopefully transitioning to be an indoor kitty. We'll put up posters and run an ad to see if he has a family that is looking for him. Luckily he has a white spot that will help someone prove that he is their kitty. If no one claims him, he will be my new brother.

For some reason I couldn't see the video -- all I got was a black screen after the title. Crows can be scary. We have ravens around here and they can be scary, too. I am glad that Clive has been de-fleaed.

Crows are not fun! They look very scary.

We are glad to hear that Clive is ok. He must feel much better without the fleas. Fleas are not fun! We are happy he has good people and kitties looking out for him:)

We love all birds, except for big birds. They really are skeery!

Clive is very handsome. Mom just made our vet scan our microchip to make sure it is still working. She might be a little bit paranoid.

We couldn't see the video either. Maybe there were so many black crows that's why. We use to have lots of crows here where we live but haven't seen one in years. We don't know what happened to them.

We are so excited you may be getting a new brother! Clive is one lucky kitty!

That does look like a Hitchcock film. How scary! Sometimes we get swarmed by grackles and they are so loud they're scary.

I hope if Clive has a family, that they'll see your Mommy's notices about him, and they can be reunited. If not, I know he'll have the best home with all of you :-)

Holy Moly all those crows are frightening!!!! What were they gathering for we wonder? We have a group of 5 that pretty much rule the neighborhood. They've claimed it for their territory it seems.
Clive is handsome. It would be nice if his owner came forward, we hope he wasn't thrown outside because they were tired of him. We are sooooo happy to hear you will keep him otherwise!

ack! Crows are scary. We get them stopping by our feeders sometimes and when they are on the deck rail my tail gets all bushy. They are scary and LOUD! That is still a lot of birdies left after the flash.

Wow Clive! You've totally lucked out. I'm sorry that you didn't have a chip to get you back to your family if you have one, but I am very glad you're being taken care of now!!

We have crows in the neighbourhood too! They are a lot less noisy than the seagulls and I kinda like and respect them. They're very clever you know! I like to hear them in the morning coz then you don't hear the seagulls cackling away and I can sleep again! But I couldn't see your video either - sorry!

Thanks so much for your purrs, they mean a lot! :) xxx

I can't hear the video as there are apes digging up the road outside today with a jackhammer grrr! We agree, crows are scary and noisy.

Thanks for the update about Clive, he's a very lucky fella to have such good people look out for him and get him sorted out. Grrreta and Ambrose, you are so kind to offer him a home if his old people cannot be found.
